Christ the Healer

Practicing Our Faith

Throughout this Year of Mercy, we’ve been given the opportunity to experience God’s Mercy and challenged to be agents of His Mercy through the Corporal and Spiritual Works. In a way, it’s an opportunity to freshen up of our abilities, like the first nervous moments on a bicycle after not having rode one in a long time, or the slow and careful pace in preparing an old recipe, now forgotten. This year, we had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves again with the tender, healing mercy of God. In the coming years after the Year of Mercy, we should continue to be engaged in His work of healing and mercy, and expect that God will use our efforts as a basis to build something greater out of it. Let’s familiarize ourselves with these works again so that we are always becoming more effective instruments of God’s Grace.
