How God’s Mercy Works

Trinitarian love in the divided world

Our God is a triune God, that is, three coexisting distinct persons but one God in nature and essence. They are always in communion with each other in their love to one another. This love is completely void of selfishness and self centeredness that they are in fact pouring out themselves wholly into the others. Created in the image and likeness of God, we are called to reflect this community of love within our human family—— love expressed in acts of charity, in bearing wrongs, in forgiveness and in mercy. Love that makes bridges and unifies. Love that allows room for peace and harmony. Love that soothes and heals the wounded and love that conquers hatred and differences.
